Coffee break intro

What started as a joke between two friends has become a serious phenomenon

Inside jokes shared on boring Wednesdays now have a cult following from an organically built audience; one that is engaged, demanding, and has an awesome sense of humor. It’s time to joke seriously.

To cope with the challenges of life in Lebanon, Nathalie and Nadyn turned their favorite defense mechanism, sarcasm, into comedy videos

Since 2015, they have been posting content about cultural trends, politics, and personal experiences. Their videos are both humorous and deliver poignant social commentary through a unique format: two best friends observing and commenting on life around them.

STAND UP

In 2019, Nathalie and Nadyn started performing live stand-up comedy in Lebanon. Their first performance was at the “Music is Louder” event, held in support of Mashrou Leila. They were invited to perform a short act, which was met with rave reviews.Since then, the duo has appeared at comedy nights in Beirut.

MUSIC

Even though they have yet to win an MTV or Grammy award, the Coffee Break duo has dabbled in music. They've produced and released spoofs of hit songs and even create their signature "anti-cheer" Christmas song every year. Some of their spoofed songs include new takes on Lionel Richie's "Hello", "On va s'aimer" by Gilbert Montaginer and Tamim Youness' "Enti ayi Kalam" (which they lovingly turned into: Hakyak fadi ya man). In 2022, Nathalie and Nadyn released their first original song:"it's not you, it's me".LINKS: It's Not You, It's Me Hakyak Fadi Ya Man It's The Season To Be Realistic The 2020 Christmas Song
